Ireland image

The Ireland Branch of IOSH was founded in 1981 with a handful of members. Through the dedication of those founder members and the development of the profession, membership is now over 1,900.

The Ireland Branch committee consists of the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Development Officer, some non-officer members, a representative from each of the districts and specialist sections, and the Irish representative to some of the UK-based groups.

Currently in the Ireland Branch there are five districts and five specialist sections each with their own page on this website. Members are affiliated to their local district and may join any of the specialist sections.

Ireland Branch district committees – Eastern, Western, North Western, Southern and South Eastern – meet regularly and host conferences, seminars and events for their members.

Ireland Branch specialist sections focus on construction, consultancy, fire risk management, healthcare and public services and arrange regular events on these topics.
