Overview

Next year's annual IOSH conference & exhibition, IOSH 11, will be held at ExCel, London Docklands on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March 2011.

The annual IOSH conference is the largest and most comprehensive health and safety conference in the UK. Each year it features a prestigious array of leading speakers, up-to-the-minute information and best practice case studies - all aimed at helping health and safety professionals meet their future challenges.

The IOSH 11 conference programme is currently being developed and will be structured around six core themes:

The developing role of the health and safety practitioner
Making business sense
Working with people
Staying legal
Maintaining core skills in health
Maintaining core skills in safety.

Call for papers

The deadline for submitting a paper to be reviewed for the conference programme has now passed. Those chosen to present at the conference will be told by 27 August 2010 and full papers and presentations will be needed by 07 March 2011.

Member survey

Every year the IOSH conference team offers all IOSH members the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the conference agenda by completing a detailed members' survey. The information we glean from the survey plays a critical role in our research process - it's an essential tool for deciding the conference theme and helps us make sure that the conference continues to address the most pressing issues faced by the profession.

As a thank you to the members who completed the survey, they were entered into a prize draw to win a free conference place. We're delighted to announce that this year's winner is Jenny Hambrook from Hertfordshire County Council.
