I want to deliver IOSH training courses. What do I need to
do?
Step 1
Decide which course you want to become licensed to deliver.
Step 2
Choose whether you want to buy one of the off-the-shelf training
packages, like Working safely or Managing
safely, or write your own
training course in line with an IOSH syllabus.
Step 3
We’ll ask you to complete a trainer application form so we can
see your health and safety qualifications and training
experience.
To deliver training as an organisation you'll need to:
- have a level 3 Occupational Safety and Health qualification
(equivalent to A-level standard)
- have at least two years' training experience (with a minimum 50
per cent face-to-face delivery)
- attend a familiarisation training day at IOSH
- provide references for trainers - for courses delivered at
director level and above.
Step 4
To complete your licensing process, once we’ve approved your
application you’ll need to attend a Familiarisation Training Day.
These one-off practical sessions show you how to best use the
training resources in the Working safely and Managing
safely packages, and they’re also useful if you’re
writing your own training courses. We’ll
show you how to mark the end-of-course assessments and also how to
complete our training administration forms.
Find out what happens after you've been
approved as a Training Provider.
